Meet the Curators

Harriet Loffler – Curator

Harriet joined the New Hall Art Collection in May 2018. Prior to joining the College, Harriet was the Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery since 2009, where she led on all the contemporary exhibition and public programming, partnership projects as well as the development of the modern and contemporary art collection. She has also worked at Frieze Art Fair in London and MoMA in New York. Harriet has an MA in Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art. She is Chair of the Public Art Advisory group for North West Cambridge development – the largest development in the history of the University of Cambridge. She has been a mentor at Wysing Arts Centre and Kettle’s Yard, Cambridge and a guest lecturer at the University of East Anglia and Norwich University of the Arts.

 

Naomi Polonsky – Assistant Curator 

Naomi Polonsky joined the New Hall Art Collection in 2018 as Art Assistant. She is now the Assistant Curator, covering for curator’s maternity leave. Having graduated from the University of Oxford and the Courtauld Institute of Art, she has worked at a number of museums and galleries including Tate Modern, Kettle’s Yard and Pippy Houldsworth Gallery, London. She has written on modern and contemporary art for publications including The Guardian, the Times Literary Supplement, Hyperallergic and Elephant Magazine, and has presented in conferences at Kettle’s Yard and Tate St Ives.
